NO MORE WOKE MENTAL HEALTH TREATMENT APPROACHES
The "Reintegration Therapy Training Act of 2025" is a legislative proposal designed to establish comprehensive training and continuing education requirements for mental health professionals. The Act addresses the growing need for specialized therapeutic support for individuals, particularly minors, who experience challenges related to identity confusion and gender dysphoria, especially after attempting to transition socially or medically from their sex assigned at birth. This Act aims to equip mental health professionals with the necessary skills and knowledge to provide effective reintegration therapy, fostering reconciliation with self and family for those affected.
The Act ensures that professionals are better equipped to support individuals facing complex identity issues, ultimately promoting better mental health outcomes and fostering reconciliation within families.
The Act mandates the inclusion of a mandatory course on reintegration therapy in all mental health professional degree programs at both the master’s and doctoral levels. This course will cover theoretical and practical aspects of reintegration therapy, ensuring that graduates are competent in addressing the unique needs of individuals with a history of gender dysphoria or confusion.
Additionally, the Act requires that licensed mental health professionals obtain Continuing Education Units (CEUs) focused on reintegration therapy as part of their state licensure renewal process. These CEUs must be completed biennially, reinforcing the importance of continuous professional development in this specialized area.
The mental health field is a dynamic and evolving discipline, influenced by progressive ideologies that have introduced significant shifts in treatment approaches. Among these, gender-affirming care has become a focal point, advocating for the validation and facilitation of an individual's self-identified gender, often through psychological, medical, and sometimes surgical interventions. However, critics argue that such approaches can lead to harmful and irreversible consequences, particularly when implemented with minimal safeguards or without addressing underlying mental health concerns. There is a growing call to critically evaluate and reshape the field by integrating conservative values, emphasizing a return to evidence-based practices that prioritize long-term well-being and holistic care. This approach advocates for more rigorous ethical standards, safeguarding vulnerable individuals from potentially abusive or premature interventions while fostering mental resilience and stability grounded in biological and psychological realities.
